APPOINTMENTS

Our appointment policy is designed to minimize your waiting time and provide appointments that are convenient for you. Our goal is to schedule routine office visits with your personal family health provider. We do this whenever possible in order to promote the continuity of your medical care.

Please tell the receptionist the nature and severity of your problems when you call. Our staff does their best to arrange appointments that are convenient for you. To help with efficiency, we request that patients be seen by appointment only.

Every effort is made to accommodate sick patients promptly and they are most often seen within the same day. In these urgent situations, it may be necessary to schedule that appointment with another medical provider in our office. Sick (same day/work in) appointments are scheduled with enough time for that issue only, and all other issues will need to be addressed at a separate scheduled appointment. We ask that you please respect these time allocations so as to minimize everyone’s wait.

Medical emergencies and related events are, of course, unpredictable and may detain your doctor at the hospital or in the office. Our staff will inform you of any significant delay, which, we are happy to report, rarely happens.

Courtesy appointment reminders are made two days prior to your appointment date. If you are a new patient, please arrive 15 minutes in advance of your appointment time to pre-register for your visit. Feel free to stop by the office prior to your appointment if you would like to complete the necessary paperwork in advance.

If you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment, we ask that at least 24-hours notice be given to our office so we can make the time available for another patient. Our policy is such that after three missed appointments, you take the risk of being discharged from our practice.
