GENERAL GUIDELINES & POLICIES

Please remember to bring all of your medication bottles with you to each visit. This allows us to keep our records current and is very important when physicians from other offices are providing medications for you.

We request that cell phones not be used during your office visit.

We have a LabCalls inquiry system that allows our patients 24-hour, at-home access to their test results. We will update test results and leave personal messages for you with the LabCalls system. After your scheduled appointment, you will receive a card with your PIN number and a designated LabCalls phone number. The card will have a date and time when you can retrieve your lab results, and you can place this call at your convenience.

Follow-up appointments are scheduled so that patients may be closely monitored after beginning or changing medications, when procedures are performed, etc. Again, we ask that this scheduled time be reserved for the follow-up, and that additional issues be addressed at a separate office visit. Our goal is to always keep your wait time to a minimum.

The provider-patient relationship is one of mutual respect and trust.   While we do all we can to ensure a positive relationship with our patients, sometimes issues arise that create a non-therapeutic environment and make it difficult to continue the relationship. In such cases (listed below), a patient may be discharged from Cabarrus Family Medicine.

— Patient noncompliance with the recommended treatment plan

— Abusive or threatening behavior toward a provider or staff member

— Three (3) or more missed appointments within an 18-month period

— Continual bad debt/nonpayment of patient due balances

— Providing false information or withholding information
