DAVID MILLER, MD

David C. Miller, M.D., is a native Floridian who completed his undergraduate and medical training at the University of Florida in Gainesville. He finished his first year of family practice residency at Riverside Hospital in Newport News, Virginia, and then fulfilled a three-year military obligation as a general medical officer in Germany. After returning to the United States, Dr. Miller completed his residency in family practice at Fairfax Family Practice and Fairfax Hospital in Fairfax, Virginia, part of the Medical College of Virginia system. He was an emergency room physician for one year and then joined a family practice group in Leesburg, Virginia where he practiced for 12 years.

Dr. Miller accepted an administrative position at Loudoun Memorial Hospital and was Vice President for Medical Affairs for four years. He returned to clinical medicine for 18 months until taking another administrative position as Vice President, Medical Affairs and Medical Director with Cabarrus Memorial Hospital. After two years in that role, Dr. Miller returned to clinical practice with Cabarrus Family Medicine at its Concord office.

Dr. Miller has published research in the management of obesity, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice, and a member of the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine.

Dr. Miller and his wife, Sharon, have two children and live in Concord. They enjoy travel, stage production, and movies.
