Cheryl D. Sexton, M.D., originally from Hamilton, Ohio, attended Northwestern University where she majored in psychology. Dr. Sexton finished her medical training at Boston University before beginning residency with Cabarrus Family Medicine Residency Program. During her training, Dr. Sexton served as chief resident and was the recipient of the 1999 Society of Teachers of Family Medicine Award.
In September 1999, Dr. Sexton joined Cabarrus Family Medicine. She is board-certified, a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association, the North Carolina Academy of Family Physicians, the North Carolina Medical Society, and the Society for Teachers of Family Medicine

Dr. Sexton's special interests are women's and children’s health. She is married to Richard Sexton, and her hobbies include running, hiking, and gardening. |
