Katherine M. Walker, MD attended Cornell University in Ithaca, NY where she received a B.S. in biology. She attended medical school at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY and then went on to complete a residency in family medicine at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse. After residency, she relocated to Greensboro, NC where she completed a primary care sports medicine fellowship at Moses Cone Hospital in 2005.
Dr. Walker provides sports medicine care at the Sports Medicine and Injury Center in Concord and at the Mt. Pleasant office. She practices family medicine at the Harrisburg office. She also teaches resident physicians from the Cabarrus Family Medicine Residency Program.
Dr. Walker enjoys a number of outdoor activities, including running, basketball, golf, cycling, tennis and fishing. She was a two-time NCAA Division I All-American in track and field and was named first-team All-Ivy three times in cross-country during her career at Cornell.
